After many trips and visiting nearly a hundred houses across various regions, the Gers is the one that truly captured our hearts. Life moves at a much gentler pace here—fewer cars, no traffic jams! That’s what completely won us over. The fantastic food, fine wines, tranquility, lush greenery, and so much less stress…
Our adventure
Through all the ups and downs, blood, sweat, and tears, we taught ourselves how to renovate. It was deeply important to us to preserve the character of our farmhouse—or at least as much as possible—while adding modern comforts. We used a lot of recycled and reclaimed materials. For now, this has resulted in a gîte for 6 people, nestled in the heart of nature.
